With 3 years of real classroom experience and an official TEFL teaching certificate, I don't just speak Tagalog—I know exactly how to teach it so you can understand it quickly. Every lesson we do is well-planned, organized, and built around your personal goals.
While I take my teaching seriously, I want you to feel completely comfortable. My online classroom is a safe, friendly space where there is no pressure and making mistakes is just part of learning! -Teaching Method & Techniques
I don’t believe in forcing you to memorize endless vocabulary lists or dry grammar rules. Instead, I use a student-centered approach rooted in my TEFL training. We will focus on natural language acquisition through real-life roleplays, situational dialogues, and multimedia resources like videos and popular songs. My goal is to make complex Tagalog grammar feel simple and digestible so you can start speaking with confidence right from our very first lesson.
:A Typical Lesson Plan
Every 60-minute session is tailored to keep you engaged and moving forward:
:The Warm-Up (5-10 mins): We’ll start with a casual, friendly chat in Tagalog to wake up your language brain and review what we learned last time.
:The Core Lesson (20-25 mins): I’ll introduce a new grammar concept or useful vocabulary theme using clear, engaging visual aids.
:Guided Practice (15 mins): We will practice the new concept together through interactive exercises and structured speaking drills.
:Production & Feedback (10 mins): You take the driver's seat! We’ll do a casual conversation or roleplay using what you just learned, followed by a quick wrap-up and some supportive, actionable feedback.
