About Swathi
Hi, I'm Swathi — a Software Engineer turned Tech Educator for kids.
With a degree in Information Science Engineering and over 7 years of hands-on experience working in the tech industry, I've had the opportunity to build real-world skills in problem-solving, coding, and technology — and now I'm passionate about passing that knowledge on to the next generation.
Teaching isn't just a side interest for me; it's something I genuinely care about. I bring the same rigor and structure I used in my professional career into a classroom that's warm, patient, and built around how kids actually learn best. My goal is simple: make technology feel exciting, approachable, and empowering — not intimidating — while helping each student build genuine confidence and skill.
Beyond the technical side, I love blending tech lessons with things kids are naturally drawn to — art, gaming, and creative hands-on projects — so that learning always feels relevant and fun. Every class is designed with care, and every student gets my full patience and attention.

Teaching Techniques & Methods
My approach is hands-on and project-based rather than lecture-heavy — I believe kids learn tech best by building something real, not just watching a screen. I break down complex concepts into small, simple steps, use plenty of real-world analogies (drawing from my 7+ years in the tech industry), and encourage learners to experiment and make mistakes as part of the process. I also mix in visual aids, live demonstrations, and interactive exercises to keep sessions engaging rather than purely theoretical.
Usual Class Structure
Each class typically starts with a quick recap of the previous session and a fun icebreaker or warm-up activity related to the topic. This is followed by the core lesson, where I introduce a new concept with a live demo, then move into guided practice where students try it themselves with my support. I like to end each class with a mini project or challenge that reinforces what was learned, along with time for questions and a short preview of what's coming next.

What sets me apart is the blend of solid technical expertise with genuine patience and strong communication skills — I take the time to ensure every student truly understands a concept before moving on, rather than just rushing through a curriculum. I also bring a playful, creative energy to my teaching by connecting tech lessons to things kids already love, like gaming, art, and hands-on projects, which keeps them motivated and curious.
Who My Classes Are For
My classes are designed primarily for school-going children [add specific age range, e.g., ages 8-14], though I can also adapt content for beginners of any age who are just starting their tech journey. I focus on building strong foundational skills and confidence, making tech approachable and fun rather than intimidating.
