About Elaina
My name is Elaina, and I’m a sophomore in high school with a strong track record in advanced math. In 7th grade, I was placed into Algebra 1, a high-school level course, and even though the teacher's teaching style didn’t match how I learn best, I took initiative, found my own resources, and earned an A. The next year, I moved up to high-school Geometry, finished with another A, and graduated 8th grade as valedictorian.
As a freshman, I stepped into Algebra 2 as the only freshman in a class full of juniors and seniors. It was intimidating at first, but I pushed myself, stayed focused, and proved that I could thrive in challenging environments. Every step of the way, I’ve learned how to adapt, work independently, and stay determined.
Now, I’m excited to use everything I’ve learned — the confidence, the discipline, and the problem-solving skills — to help other students grow, believe in themselves, and succeed in math.
