About Nicole
I truly enjoy educating others! I've worked as an educator for the past 18 years. I first worked as a tutor while studying at St. John's University in New York where I obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and a minor in Education. I combined my love of business and education by opening my very own tutoring business right out of college while simultaneously substitute teaching at the very elementary school that I attended, and maintaining a full time evening administrative position at the local hospital. I've always been a hard worker and a go getter! I believe that an education gives our youth an opportunity to pursue a career rather than settling for a mere job to make ends meet. My ideology is Education provides a certain level of economic stability and security in today's society not to mention a great feeling of accomplishment.
After relocating to North Carolina to care for loved ones in 2002 I began teaching full time as a fourth grade teacher (students from both classes passed the EOG except one). After Obtaining a Provisional Lateral Entry Special Education License K-12, I served as a Middle School Behavior and Emotional Special Education Teacher grades 6-8, a Special Education Resource Teacher K-5, and an Elementary IEP Chair. I've also taught as a Compensatory Life Skills Instructor for developmentally challenged adults at a community college two evenings a week ( 2007 - 2012) My experience as an Adult Basic Education /GED Instructor spans from 2005-2012; and 2019-Present. I've taught as an adjunct instructor in the Office Systems Technology Department & Business Department of a community college where I taught beginning key boarding, word processing I & II, text editing, Intro to business, marketing, and Business Law (2005 -2007)
After all these years I'm still motivated to share my knowledge with others! As a life long learner and educator, let me help you accomplish your academic goals and the goals of your children! It's never too late...and if not now when?

Students learn differently so I incorporate a great deal of differentiation in my basic reading, math, EOG & SOL prep courses (Grades K-12) as well as my GED Prep Courses (age 16-Adults) as well as in Children/Family Bible Study Courses in order to make sure all lessons are student centered. I attempt to reach students of all ages and ability levels by offering on line sessions either one - one private lessons, as well as group lessons.
Flexible tutoring sessions/courses are available according to the learners' availability.

Most tutoring sessions will be conducted on line. Tutoring Sessions Scheduled at the client's home or at a library near their home will be an additonal $15 for time and travel expenses (unless the client is less than 5 miles away)
