About Melisa
My name is Melisa Thompson, I am a kindergarten teacher from Kingson, Jamaica. I have been teaching for over twelve years and is very passionate about teaching/ passing on information/knowledge. I have attained a certificate in assessing and teaching Reading from the Mico University College in Kingston, Jamaica and also a Bachelors degree in Guidance and Counselling from Jamaica Theological Seminary also from Kingston, Jamaica. I am still in the process of completing my Master's degree in Special Education from Nova Southeastern University; Florida.
I assure you that I am equipped with mastery skills and an abundance of knowledge and experience to take on any teaching task. I am also prepared to do the necessary research in order to be more efficient in teaching my prospective students.

My teaching methods vary, it depends on age and level. An assessment is usually done first to be certain of students level in order to create lesson plans that is suitable for students needs and pace. Once I am certain of the level, lessons are structured towards reaching their needs. My teaching style is geared towards all the different learning styles, and further down to specific learning style once that is discovered.
