About Tiago

I am a guitar teacher passionate about music since my childhood. I remember watching great musicians perform and being inspired to learn to play the instrument. Over time, I became a guitar scholar, graduating from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. From that moment on, I started giving private lessons to friends and acquaintances. In 2022 I had the opportunity to study a master's degree abroad at Trinity Laban Conservatoire and teach at Lycee International in London, UK.

My experiences as a music teacher allow me to teach the basics of keyboards and drums, develop the technique of plucked string instrumentalists such as ukulele, guitar and double bass; but mainly to guide those who seek excellence in playing the guitar, allowing those who intend to achieve more auspicious goals in the instrument to attend even a higher education course. Such experiences also enable me to help improve interpretive concepts as well as guide those who seek evolution in their studies of music theory.

The positive feedback and satisfaction of my students in learning is what motivated me to pursue this career. Gradually, I expanded my number of students and improved my teaching methodology.

I became a teacher who not only teaches techniques, but who encourages my students to love music and express their emotions through their instrument through a methodology that seeks to adapt the student's previous tastes to their level of instrumental performance. In addition, I have created a relaxed and welcoming environment in which my students feel comfortable learning and developing.

What encourages me the most to share my knowledge is seeing the impact my classes have on my students' lives. It is gratifying to see its evolution, from the first chords to the presentations. I know I'm making a difference in their lives and that's what matters most.

That's why I dedicate myself daily to teaching and learning with my students, and I'm always looking for new ways to improve my classes and make them more and more effective without ever losing the emotion of playing a song for the first time.

About the lesson

Hello! My name is Tiago and I would like to share with you a little of my teaching methodology.

Unlike some approaches that focus only on theory or technique, I believe in a more integrated approach that takes into account both theory and practice and musical interpretation.

During my classes, we will learn from the fundamentals of the guitar, such as tuning and correct posture, to more advanced techniques of interpretation and execution on the instrument. To do this, I will use a variety of resources, including sheet music, practical exercises, recordings and videos, to ensure that learning is complete and effective.

In addition, I will adapt to your skill level and personal goals, so you can progress according to your own musical goals and interests.

Unlike what is indicated here, my rates are R$70 per hour. This value of R$250 is the monthly value when 5 monthly classes are closed. This is better if you want to take more classes, but also if you want to organize class by class, without harming the teaching professional. In addition, for each recommended student, you receive a R$25 discount on the monthly fee. ;)
