About Leanne
I am a Second Year Biomedical Science student with a strong academic background in biology and related life sciences. Having recently completed the subject and receiving a H1 in the Leaving Certificate exam, and now studying them at a higher level, I understand the challenges that students face and what is required to succeed in the exam.
My approach focuses on building real understanding rather than memorization. I break complex topics into simple explanations and use exam-focused practice to help students improve their confidence, accuracy, and performance under pressure. I also adapt my teaching style to each student’s needs, whether that means revising core concepts, working through past papers, or improving exam technique.
Alongside my science studies, I have strong written communication skills and can help students improve how they structure answers, especially for longer written questions and lab-based sections.
I am patient, approachable, and committed to helping students reach their goals, whether that is improving grades, preparing for their exams, or gaining a clearer understanding of their subject's material.

I focus on clear, step-by-step explanations of difficult concepts, breaking topics down into simple, memorable parts. I use a mix of diagrams, real-life examples, and exam-style questions to help students understand rather than just memorize.
I also adapt my teaching style to each student, identifying weak areas and building confidence through active recall and practice questions.
Lessons are typically 1 hour long, tailored towards Leaving Cert Biology students, both higher and ordinary. Junior Cert Students are also welcome.
