About Abbie
I’m a third-year Biomedical Science student at Cardiff University, with a strong passion for Biology and a year of experience working in the pharmaceutical industry. I’ve always enjoyed understanding how Biology applies to real-world health and medicine, and I love sharing that interest with others. I want to teach because I know how challenging A-Level Biology can be, and I enjoy helping students break down difficult topics, build their confidence and develop a genuine understanding of the subject. I aim to make lessons supportive, engaging and tailored to each student’s individual needs and goals.

My lessons are relaxed, friendly and tailored to each student. I believe Biology is much easier to learn when you understand the concepts rather than simply memorising information, so I focus on breaking down difficult topics into clear, manageable explanations.
At the start of our lessons, we’ll identify any areas you’re struggling with and work through these together. Depending on your needs, sessions may include explaining key concepts, working through diagrams and processes, practising exam questions and developing effective exam technique. I also like to use past-paper questions to identify gaps in knowledge and build confidence in applying what you have learned.
Lessons can vary in length with a minimum of 1 hour, this can increase towards exam period.
