About Luana
I am a student in the School Of Chemistry (UOB) having just completed A-levels (biology, psychology and chemistry). I thoroughly enjoy all three subjects, i'd love to be able to help more GCSE or A level students get through their studies! Previous experience of tutoring in one-to-one sessions throughout a range of subjects.

In the past, i've adopted an approach where i talk to the student/parent about potential weak areas and make a plan based on that information. My method of teaching is quite interactive and filled with analogies to help students understand how and why things work the way they do. I've found in my experience studying that knowledge of theory alone can only take you so far in terms of grades, so I do like to implement a lot of past paper exam questions in my sessions (which we dissect and answer together) in order to help with exam skills and analysis simultaneously. I also offer my own revision tools and materials.
Chemistry is by no means an easy subject to grasp, especially with the disruption in learning over the past two years. However, I hope to help another student to achieve their best during these times.
