About Harshh

Hi, I'm Harshh. BSc Maths, B.Ed, 6+ years tutoring — and A-Level is honestly my favourite level to teach.
Here's why. GCSE is mostly technique. A-Level is where maths actually starts to make sense — calculus, proper algebra, mechanics, real problem-solving. But it's also where most students hit a wall, because the jump from GCSE is brutal and nobody warns you.
I scored 100/100 in almost every maths exam I sat as a student, all the way through. I know what it takes to get an A or A*, and I know exactly where Year 12 students lose their footing.

About the lesson

A-Level isn't about doing more questions. It's about thinking differently. Here's how we work:
First session — we talk through where you are. Year 12 finding the GCSE-to-A-Level jump rough? Year 13 prepping for finals? Different game plan for each.
Calculus is where I spend the most time with students. Differentiation, integration, applications — most students "know the rules" but can't see why. We fix that.
Mechanics or Statistics — I cover both. Tell me your modules and we go deep into the one you're weaker in.
Past papers from your board (Edexcel, AQA, OCR MEI). A-Level examiners have patterns. We learn them.
I'll push you. A-Level rewards students who can sit with a hard problem for 20 minutes without giving up — and that's a skill I'll build with you.
If you're doing Further Maths too, I cover that — complex numbers, matrices, further calculus, all of it.

He is really good at teaching me tricks for factors and prime numbers. I also love the tests that we do at the beginning of our lessons as I can see what I need to work on.
