About Kaviyalini

I am currently a sixth form student studying Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science, with a strong academic background in GCSE Maths, having achieved a Grade 8. I have always enjoyed maths, particularly problem-solving and understanding how different concepts connect together.

I want to teach because I know how overwhelming GCSE Maths can sometimes feel, and I believe that with the right explanation and support, every student can improve. As someone who has recently completed GCSEs and is now studying maths at a higher level, I understand the exam system and what is needed to succeed. My aim is to create a calm and encouraging environment where students feel confident asking questions and developing their skills.

About the lesson

My lessons are personalised to each student and typically last one hour. At the start, I identify areas of weakness and tailor sessions to focus on those topics. I break concepts down into clear, simple steps and use worked examples, guided practice, and past exam questions to strengthen understanding and exam technique.

I achieved a Grade 8 in GCSE Mathematics and am familiar with both Foundation and Higher content. My lessons are aimed at secondary school students preparing for GCSEs who need extra support, want to improve their confidence, or are aiming to achieve higher grades.

I understand how stressful GCSE Maths can feel, so I focus on building confidence as well as ability, ensuring students feel comfortable asking questions and making steady progress each week.
