About Rashida

I have been working full-time in a secondary school in London since 2012, alongside providing private tuition to students of varying ages and academic abilities. Over the years, I have developed extensive experience supporting students in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics, as well as teaching Arabic up to A-level standard. Within the school environment, I lead seminars and focus groups for sixth form students, offering additional academic support and helping students strengthen both their subject knowledge and exam technique. These sessions have become highly popular amongst students due to my structured yet approachable teaching style and my ability to explain complex topics in a clear and engaging manner. Alongside my school-based role, I also provide private tuition tailored to each student’s individual needs. I strongly believe that every student learns differently, and I pride myself on being able to quickly identify areas of weakness and adapt my teaching methods accordingly. My aim is always to build confidence, improve understanding, and help students achieve their full academic potential. I am passionate about teaching and find my work incredibly rewarding. Seeing students grow in confidence and succeed academically is one of the most fulfilling aspects of my role. Whether a student requires ongoing support, exam preparation, or help improving specific topics, I am committed to providing patient, supportive and effective tuition. About the lesson

I tailor each lesson to the individual student’s needs and learning style in order to maximise both understanding and progress. Prior to beginning tuition, I discuss with the student which topics or areas they feel require the most support so that lessons can be carefully planned and structured accordingly. My lessons are designed to be engaging, supportive and highly focused on building both confidence and subject knowledge. I place strong emphasis on ensuring students fully understand a topic before moving on to exam-style application and independent practice. A typical lesson structure may include: 1. A thorough explanation of the topic, ensuring the student fully understands the key concepts and content. 2. Guided practice questions specific to the student’s exam board, with step-by-step support and exam technique guidance. 3. Independent practice questions to assess understanding and encourage confidence when answering without assistance. 4. Additional questions and structured homework tasks provided for further practice, along with mark schemes where appropriate. 5. Review and discussion during the following lesson to address any misunderstandings, reinforce weaker areas, and consolidate learning. My goal is not only to help students improve academically, but also to help them become more confident, independent learners who feel fully prepared for their examinations.
