About Jamia
I achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE Geography, giving me a strong understanding of the subject and the knowledge and exam skills needed to achieve highly. I am currently studying A-levels Geography, Biology and Sociology and am to go to Cambridge next year for a degree in Geography.
As a former GCSE student, I understand the challenges students face when preparing for exams. I personally made significant progress in the period leading up to my exams, so I understand how to use revision time efficiently and focus on the areas that can make the biggest difference to a student's grade.
I also have experience teaching real students through a school placement as a Geography teacher, where I developed experience explaining geographical concepts and supporting students with their learning.
I aim to create a friendly and supportive environment where students can ask questions, identify gaps in their knowledge and build confidence in Geography.

My lessons use active recall to develop students’ understanding, memorization and application skills. I typically introduce a topic, build a clear understanding of the key concepts, and help students make connections between different areas of the course. We then apply this knowledge to exam-style questions to develop confidence and exam technique.
My lessons are aimed at GCSE students who may feel unprepared or lack confidence for their exams, have gaps in their knowledge, or need help consolidating and applying what they have learned.
I focus on making lessons efficient, structured and tailored to the individual student, so we can identify their weaker areas and work on the topics and skills that will have the biggest impact on their progress.
