Lesson Overview...
Objective: improve phonics, reading, grammar, and writing.
Lesson Outline: review material from previous week
- begin phonics (review alphabet sounds, practice blending, segmenting, and word families)*
- begin reading (guided reading of selected passage, comprehension questions and group discussion)*
- begin grammar (review parts of speech, complete grammar worksheets)*
- summarize key concepts from all sections and assign homework
*modify activities for individual needs of each student
I am set apart as a tutor because I have strong attention to detail which helps in assisting students in their specific yet hard-to-decipher needs; I have excellent listening skills which aids my role as a tutor as I am able to hear out the student rather than come to my own conclusions.
