According to the type of student, I adapt the methodology that works best for their learning process since we all learn in different ways. The Teaching Methods I work with are: In a full E-LEARNING environment I use Grammatical Translation Methods, Direct Method, Communicative Approach, Cognitive Approach to Academic Language Learning and Sugestopedia. Direct method: It is one where learning is done through direct oral communication. It is, if you think about it, the method we use when we are children to learn the mother tongue. We speak, we listen, we err, we repeat, we do not learn grammar but we intuit or deduce it, and in the end we end up speaking the language correctly. Communicative approach, more than a methodology, is a way of looking at learning. Part of the idea that the language is used, basically, for communication between people and the objective is, therefore, to improve all the aspects included in this communication. All skills are given importance and grammar also has a place in the teaching process. It is a method that places special emphasis on interaction and the use of language in real situations. Grammatical Method: I use it occasionally when learning verb tenses and language rules that are much more dense and that require this explanation for a better acquisition and establishment of the language as a 2nd language. It is also important in the case of doing a translation between both languages. Suggestopedia: It is a much more didactic and dynamic method, which uses natural and welcoming means and sensory input, such as colors, images and especially music, with an emphasis on active participation. Georgi Lozanov, the founder of this technique, believed that the mind could absorb more knowledge in a relaxed state. Lozanov and his followers began introducing the language material to the students as they played soft music, believing that the students became "suggestible" and more open to learning.
