About Megan
Hello! My name is Megan, and I am a licensed Birth–Kindergarten educator in North Carolina with a passion for helping young children build strong foundations for learning. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education (Leadership concentration) and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, which allow me to support both the academic and developmental needs of young learners.
I specialize in working with children from birth through kindergarten, focusing on early literacy, language development, and kindergarten readiness skills. My teaching approach is based on developmentally appropriate practices, meaning I design lessons that match how young children naturally learn—through hands-on exploration, play, and meaningful interaction.
With years of experience working in early childhood education, I understand that every child learns differently. I tailor my lessons to meet each child’s individual learning style, helping them build confidence while developing important skills such as letter recognition, phonics, early reading, number sense, and problem-solving.
My goal is to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where children feel comfortable, encouraged, and excited to learn. I believe the early years are critical for developing a love of learning that will support children throughout their education.
I look forward to working with families and helping young learners grow, succeed, and gain confidence in their abilities.
