About Rizza Mae
Hi! I’m Rizza Mae, a Licensed Professional Teacher and TEFL-certified English tutor from the Philippines. My Teaching Approach
I use a student-centered and interactive approach. I adjust my lessons based on the learner’s level, needs, interests, and learning pace. Instead of simply explaining grammar rules, I encourage students to participate through conversations, guided questions, reading activities, vocabulary practice, and real-life examples.
What a Typical Lesson Looks Like
We usually begin with a short warm-up or casual conversation to help the student feel comfortable. Then, we focus on the main lesson, which may include vocabulary, grammar, reading, pronunciation, or speaking practice. I use simple examples and guided activities to make the topic easier to understand. At the end, we review what we learned and practice using the new skills in a short conversation or activity.
What Sets Me Apart
As a teacher, I am patient, supportive, and willing to adjust my teaching style depending on the learner. I want my students to feel comfortable making mistakes because mistakes are a natural part of learning. I also make use of digital and AI-powered tools when appropriate to make lessons more engaging and interactive.

My lessons are suitable for children, teenagers, and adult learners who want to improve their English. I can help learners with conversational English, grammar, vocabulary, reading, pronunciation, and general English communication.
