Hello, I’m Jamica Velasquez, a dedicated and experienced ESL teacher with several years of online and classroom teaching experience. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in BTTE and have worked with learners from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds. My experience has allowed me to develop strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to adapt lessons to meet each student’s individual needs.
I specialize in helping students build confidence in speaking, improve grammar accuracy, expand vocabulary, and develop clear pronunciation. As an experienced ESL teacher, I use a student-centered and communicative approach in my classes. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable, confident, and actively involved in the lesson. I focus on improving speaking fluency, pronunciation, grammar accuracy, and vocabulary through guided conversation, interactive activities, and real-life scenarios.
I adapt my teaching techniques depending on the student’s level and goals. For young learners, I use visuals, games, repetition, and simple structured practice to keep lessons engaging and fun. For teens and adults, I integrate role-plays, discussion questions, reading materials, and practical exercises such as Business English conversations or daily communication practice.
A typical lesson lasts 25 to 50 minutes, depending on the student’s preference and learning needs. Each session includes a warm-up, lesson proper with guided practice, and feedback to track progress.
I am a BTTE graduate with several years of online and offline ESL teaching experience. I have worked with beginners, intermediate, and advanced learners from different age groups — including children, teenagers, university students, and working professionals.
