About Ashley
I have worked 14 years in Education as a school counselor and a licensed professional counselor for 11 years. I have supervised many counselors along the way and have been successful in preparing them both academically, professionally, and personally. I teach lessons weekly as a school counselor and understand that every student is different with different needs. I am trained in assisting students with learning differences and know that a one-size-fits-all approach does not work. I am able to identify obstacles that may be hindering success and work with students on eliminating those so that they can successfully reach their academic goals.

I love helping others through a supportive and strength-based approach. I believe that teaching to one's strengths will result in the best outcomes. I like small, attainable goals that will help you reach your overall, long-term goals. What sets me apart as a tutor is that having a background in counseling helps me be a great listener, encourager, and coach. Anyone can teach material, but having a teacher who truly cares, has a genuine love of helping others, and being a great listener is really beneficial in academics.
