About Zylyn

Hello! I’m Zylyn Roma Maculob, LPT, a Licensed Professional Teacher and TEFL-certified ESL teacher with 3 years of teaching experience. I am passionate about helping learners develop their English skills while building the confidence they need to communicate naturally and effectively.

I believe that every student has a unique learning style, which is why I provide personalized, engaging, and supportive lessons. I create a friendly learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and practicing English without fear.

My teaching approach combines clear explanations, interactive activities, real-life conversations, and practical exercises. Whether you are a beginner learning the basics or an advanced learner aiming to improve fluency, I will adjust our lessons to match your level, needs, and goals.

About the lesson

My Approach as a Tutor

As a tutor, I believe that learning English should be engaging, comfortable, practical, and personalized. I adjust my teaching style according to each learner’s level, learning goals, strengths, and areas for improvement. My goal is not only to help students learn English but also to build their confidence in using it in real-life situations.

My Teaching Methods and Techniques

I use a student-centered and communicative approach. My lessons include a combination of:

Interactive conversations and question-and-answer activities
Vocabulary and pronunciation practice
Grammar explained in a simple and easy-to-understand way
Reading and comprehension exercises

A typical lesson may follow this structure:

1. Warm-Up – A short conversation or activity to make the learner comfortable and ready to learn.

2. Review – A quick review of previous lessons to reinforce learning.

3. Introduction of the Topic – I introduce the new vocabulary, grammar, expressions, or communication skill.

4. Guided Practice – The student practices with my guidance through examples, exercises, and questions.

5. Interactive Practice – We apply the lesson through conversation, role-play, reading, or real-life situations.

6. Feedback and Correction – I provide positive and specific feedback and explain areas that need improvement.

7. Wrap-Up – We summarize what was learned and identify what the student should continue practicing.

What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor

What makes me different is my combination of professional teaching experience, patience, flexibility, and personalized instruction. I am a Licensed Professional Teacher (LPT) and a TEFL-certified ESL teacher with experience teaching learners online.

I also have experience in education, guidance, and physical education, which has helped me develop strong communication, classroom-management, and learner-support skills. I understand that every student learns differently, so I do not use exactly the same approach for everyone.
