About Janrey
I am a Licensed Professional Secondary School Teacher from the Philippines with solid experience in both classroom teaching and online ESL instruction. I specialize in teaching English to learners of different ages and levels, helping them build strong foundations in grammar, communication, and confidence in using the language.
Over the years, I have developed a student-centered and communicative teaching approach, focusing on real-life language use and meaningful interaction. I use a student-centered and communicative teaching approach, focusing on real-life language use rather than memorization. My goal is to help learners gain confidence in speaking, improve comprehension, and use English naturally in everyday situations. I adapt my teaching style based on each student’s level, learning speed, and goals.
In my lessons, I combine interactive activities, guided practice, and structured input. I often use task-based learning, role-playing, repetition with variation, and visual or contextual materials to make lessons engaging and easy to understand. I also integrate error correction in a supportive way, helping students improve without losing confidence.
A typical lesson includes a warm-up activity, review of previous lessons, introduction of the target language or skill, guided practice, and a short speaking or writing task. I always end with feedback and a quick recap to ensure retention and progress tracking.
What sets me apart is my experience as a licensed professional secondary school teacher from the Philippines with a strong background in both classroom and online ESL teaching.
