About Nicos
Hello! My name is Nicos De Asis, and I am a 23-year-old Licensed Professional Teacher from the Philippines with a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and a TEFL certification. I have experience teaching English as a Second Language in a classroom setting, where I worked with students from different backgrounds and helped them improve their communication skills. Teaching is my passion because I enjoy creating a positive learning environment and helping students achieve their goals. I believe that every student can succeed with the right guidance, encouragement, and support, and I strive to make every lesson engaging, enjoyable, and meaningful.

As a Licensed Professional Teacher and TEFL-certified ESL tutor, I believe that learning English should be enjoyable, interactive, and tailored to each student’s needs. My teaching approach focuses on developing communication skills through student-centered learning, using techniques such as guided discussions, grammar activities, pronunciation practice, vocabulary exercises, and real-life conversations. A typical lesson begins with a short warm-up activity, followed by the main lesson and interactive practice to reinforce learning. What sets me apart as a tutor is my experience teaching English in a classroom setting, my patience, and my commitment to helping students build confidence in using the English language. My lessons are suitable for children, teenagers, and adults from beginner to intermediate levels who want to improve their English for academic, professional, or everyday communication.
