About Mhayette
Hey there! I’m Teacher Yen, and I am so excited to meet you!
I’m a Licensed Professional Teacher and certified TEFL instructor with a degree in Education (English major), which basically means I have a giant toolbox full of fun ways to help you learn! For the past 4 years, I’ve been teaming up with students of all levels—from absolute beginners taking their very first steps to advanced learners leveling up their skills.
Here is my golden rule: Every single learner is beautifully unique!
In my classroom, there is zero pressure and 100% support. We’re going to smash through those language barriers using interactive games, high energy, and lots of laughs. My Teaching Method & Techniques
I use a highly communicative, student-centered approach. Instead of just memorizing grammar rules out of context, we focus on practical application. I utilize interactive slideshows, real-world articles, and role-playing exercises to ensure you are learning language skills you can immediately use in real life.
A Typical Lesson Plan
Warm-up (5 mins): A casual icebreaker or speaking activity to get you comfortable using English.
Core Lesson (25 mins): Introducing new vocabulary, useful grammar structures, or idioms.
Active Practice (20 mins): Interactive reading comprehension, speaking drills, or guided writing exercises.
Feedback & Wrap-up (10 mins): Highlighting your strengths, addressing areas for improvement, and outlining clear steps for practice.
