About Katherine Mae

a licensed teacher in both the Philippines and the United States, with over 15 years of diverse teaching experience.

My professional experience includes nine years of teaching English to high school students in the Philippines, five years as a Dual Language and Early Childhood Education Teacher in Illinois, USA, and nearly two years of online English instruction for international learners.

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education, major in English, and am TEFL-certified. I am also currently completing my Masters in Special Education. Throughout my career, I have demonstrated a strong commitment to educational excellence, inclusive teaching practices, and student-centered learning. I strive to create engaging and supportive learning environments that address diverse learning needs, promote language development, and encourage students to achieve their full potential.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is student-centered, interactive, and tailored to each learner’s needs and goals. I use visual aids, real-life examples, games, discussions, and guided practice to make learning engaging and effective.
A typical lesson includes a warm-up, presentation of key concepts, interactive activities, guided practice, and feedback to reinforce learning.
With over 15 years of teaching experience and teaching licenses in both the Philippines and the United States, I bring international experience, patience, and adaptability to every lesson. I focus on building students’ confidence, communication skills, and academic excellence.
My lessons are designed for preschool, kindergarten, elementary and high school students, as well as adult English learners and professionals at different proficiency levels.
