About Kiley
I am a licensed educator with both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in teaching, and I am passionate about helping students build confidence, strengthen academic skills, and develop a positive relationship with learning. My experience includes classroom teaching, literacy intervention, individualized instruction, and supporting students with a wide range of learning styles and academic needs.
I believe every student is capable of success when provided with the right support, encouragement, and strategies. My teaching style is patient, engaging, and student-centered, with lessons tailored to each learner’s strengths, goals, and pace. I strive to create a comfortable environment where students feel safe asking questions, making mistakes, and growing academically.
I specialize in elementary and middle school reading, writing, literacy support, study skills, and math intervention. I use research-based teaching practices, interactive activities, and clear step-by-step instruction to help students gain both understanding and confidence. I also place a strong emphasis on communication, consistency, and building positive relationships with students and families.
As an educator, professionalism and reliability are extremely important to me. I come prepared to every lesson with organized materials, clear learning goals, and a commitment to helping each student succeed. Whether a student needs extra support, enrichment, or summer learning practice, I work hard to make learning meaningful, encouraging, and effective.

I am a licensed educator with both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in teaching, and I specialize in creating engaging, supportive, and individualized lessons that help students build both confidence and academic skills. My approach focuses on meeting students where they are, identifying their strengths, and using research-based strategies to help them grow at their own pace.
As a tutor, I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and actively participating in the learning process. I use interactive teaching methods such as visual models, guided practice, educational games, discussion-based learning, and scaffolded support to make lessons both effective and enjoyable. I especially enjoy helping students who may feel frustrated or behind regain confidence in their abilities.
A typical lesson begins with a quick review or check-in to assess understanding and identify areas of need. From there, I introduce targeted instruction with clear examples and guided practice before gradually releasing responsibility to the student through independent work and problem-solving. I also incorporate reflection and feedback throughout lessons so students can recognize their own growth and develop stronger learning habits.
What sets me apart is my background in literacy intervention, classroom teaching, and individualized academic support. I have experience adapting lessons for different learning styles and supporting students with varying academic needs. My graduate-level training in education has given me strong skills in assessment, intervention, and student-centered instruction, allowing me to tailor lessons specifically to each learner.
My lessons are ideal for elementary and middle school students, particularly in reading, writing, literacy intervention, study skills, and math support. I also work well with students who need additional structure, encouragement, or executive functioning support. Whether a student is looking to catch up, stay sharp over the summer, or build stronger academic confidence, I strive to create a positive and encouraging learning environment where they can succeed.
