About Somya
I am a Biology post graduate from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research / IISER and I have worked on more than four different projects, that accounts for 1.5 years of research work. I love discussing Biology in general and I feel that, by teaching this subject, I will be helping a number of students for their future endeavours while working on something that I am truly passionate about.

I don't want my students to mug up a topic without understanding the core concept. Being a mediocre student in Biology to obtaining a strong hold on this subject, the thing that helped me quite a lot was to create an image of the topic in my head. For example, if I am teaching how proteins are made inside the cells, I would rather prefer teaching them by drawing sketches of the process rather than providing only notes. It will help them develop command on the topic and write about it in their own words. Thus, the goal is to develop conceptual knowledge.
