About Robert

I am a second year mathematics student studying for an integrated master's in mathematics from Durham University. I achieved 5 A*s at A-Level in Maths, Further Maths, Computer Science, Physics and Welsh Baccalaureate, with 100% marks in all exams sat. I achieved 14 A*s at GCSE with a Distinction in Additional Mathematics and HSK 2 Mandarin. I have worked as a tutor for three years and have fallen in love with how rewarding it is seeing my students start to enjoy their subject far more and getting better marks because of it. I do not want to make anyone study something they do not like, so I show my students how to start liking whatever it is I am teaching them.

About the lesson

I focus on tailored programmes, we all learn in different ways and I have 3 years of experience teaching a wide range of personalities and ability levels. The most important thing is that the student enjoys the lessons, it statistically means information goes in 10x better, which is my focus for every student. My lessons are 40-45 minutes long as they are non-stop, longer lessons are available but I recommend shorter, and more frequent ones for better results. GCSE and A-Level, Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Computer Science. For advanced students, I can also offer lessons focusing on sitting the MAT for application to Oxford, Imperial, Bath and Warwick, although I have typically done this in the past at a higher fee as they take more preparation. My personal result in it contributed to two acceptances.
