About Svetlana
Hi, I'm Svetlana. I'm a linguist with a five-year specialist degree in language teaching methodology, eight years of classroom experience, and a publication in Russia's national methodology journal. I now work in a Canadian school district supporting children with diverse learning needs — and I'm the mother of four bilingual kids.

— MY APPROACH —
Meaning lives in the person before it lives in the words. I teach the way children actually acquire language — through connection, rhythm, and being truly heard — not through flashcards and fear. Warm, patient, structured. No shame, ever.
A personal note: my own son struggled for years because the system measured his barrier instead of his ability. I found what everyone missed. That's the lens I bring to every child — curiosity first, deficit-language never.
— PRACTICAL —
Lessons run on Google Meet with a shared workspace; you get materials and a progress folder to keep. I speak Russian (native), English, and I'm learning French alongside my daughter.
