About David
I have a master's degree and teaching certification in special education. I am trained in a structured literacy approach to reading (Orton-Gillingham, which is essential for students with dyslexia). I stay up to date on the science of reading and writing. With almost a decade of experience teaching K-12 students with dyslexia and ADHD how to read and write, your student will be in good hands!

I always begin by getting to know my students well. A strong relationship is essential for meaningful learning outcomes. I assess learning needs so that I can teach core, fundamental skills that may be missing. From there, we will expand to developing fluency and consistency. I always end my sessions with a game or something else fun so that my students have something to look forward to every time we meet.
