I am a teacher of literary studies. Major in critical theory, cultural and gender studies. I am also competent in African literature (play and prose), as well as English novels. I have a degree in literary studies. I can teach undergrad courses as well.

I specialize in tutoring prose, novels and drama aspects of literature. My methodology includes interaction and live text engagement with the students. I illustrate with real-life experience or realistic elements in order to bring character and themes of any text to a relatable space. I have strong skills in literary criticism as well, which enables me to interpret text into multiple meanings. This criticism will help my students to have a broader grasp of the issues and situations embedded in the text and also increase their knowledge of the background of the author and the text. I capture the interest of students by making references to the history and time of the plot. This method is, however, interactive because my students will be able to situate the text within a socio-cultural space and have a feel of the political climate behind the plot. My approach is also multidisciplinary in the way it borrows illustration from sociology, political science, anthropology, history, etc., to unravel the meanings in poetry and plot of novels. This therefore expands the horizon of the students and actually gives them a great sense of meaning making out of various novels and poetry they will encounter.
