About Rachel

Hi! I’m Rachel, and I’m an online English teacher from Austin, Texas, USA. I have been traveling around the world for the past seven months, exploring the natural wonders of the rainforests in Central America and studying the way people live across cultures throughout Europe. Meanwhile, I have also been running a graphic design business for the past four years and enjoy introducing new perspectives acquired from travel in my artistic endeavors.

Whether I’m teaching English, coaching swimming & ice skating, or acting as a mentor in fine arts & digital design, nothing is more fulfilling for me than helping students cultivate a new skill. My goal is to provide a warm and comfortable environment where my students can expand their English vocabulary, practice their conversational skills, and have a great time! I look forward to meeting you and helping you achieve your linguistic goals in one of my classes! :)

About the lesson

My philosophy is that learning should be fun & engaging! I do my best to build the confidence of my students by frequently praising them for their hard work. My teaching style is visual, fun, and interactive - yet also adaptive, keeping students of all learning styles in mind.

My lessons vary from structured, personalized curriculum to conversation classes. It all depends on you and your learning style! To begin with, we will discuss your goals (e.g. to get into an English university, pass a job interview in English, improve conversational skills, etc.). Then we will have a chat to evaluate your English, and then based on your availability, I will create a tailor-made course for you. I make an effort to always offer something that is helpful, enjoyable, and effective with each lesson and conversation.
