About Hugo
I have a first class degree in International History and Politics from the University of Leeds, and have also studied International Relations at Fudan University in Shanghai. I speak Mandarin, alongside native English, and can tutor any history or IR topic from the 19th, 20th and 21st century.

I use a Socratic teaching methodology - this involves constructive dialogue between the teacher and the learner, rather than rote learning. I like lively debate and conversations with my students, and this tends to produce the best essay/exam results in practice.
