About the lesson

I guess an interest in tutoring starts with the realization that a lot of people need help, and they are either too shy to ask for it from someone they know, or the teacher is a bit over-bearing (maybe a lot) and that prevents them from taking the liberty of asking questions in class.

Some of the students I work with on a one-to-one basis have noted that there are learning difficulties or skills they just need more practice in - a mainstream teacher/lecturer would not necessarily have the ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach or resources, and here a tutor can really make a difference in assisting a student in getting up to standard, or growing those skills that are keeping them back.
