About Parminder
My passion for teaching mathematics stems from its role in developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills that are essential in both education and life. Mathematics allows you to think outside the box to break down complex challenges using logical methodologies. Having studied A level mathematics I am equipped with the knowledge that is needed to teach secondary school students. A level mathematics enabled me to gain confidence in more complex subjects such as trigonometry and utilising the Pythagoras’ theorem to find distances between navigation points. Furthermore, studying Accounting and Finance at university allowed me to enhance my understanding of integration and inverse functions. My undergraduate study broadened my understanding of how mathematics is applied in finance such as asset pricing models and finding the expected return on investment projects. These modules showcased the real-world applications to economic problems which I am eager to bring forward so tutees can see the practical use of mathematics in their future careers
