About Luke

I hold a Master’s degree in Applied Economics from the University of Massachusetts Boston, where I received rigorous training in statistics, economic theory, and data analysis. My academic background allows me to explain complex concepts clearly and accurately while adapting explanations to each student’s level of understanding.

I take tutoring seriously and approach each lesson with preparation, patience, and professionalism. My goal is not only to help students complete assignments or prepare for exams, but also to ensure they truly understand the material and gain confidence in their abilities.

Students and parents can expect lessons that are organized, supportive, and focused on measurable progress. I communicate clearly, respect students’ time and goals, and work to create a positive learning environment where questions are encouraged and mistakes are part of the learning process.

I am committed to helping students succeed academically while building the skills they need to approach future challenges independently.

About the lesson

My teaching approach focuses on clarity, patience, and building real understanding. Many students struggle because concepts are introduced too quickly or explained only through formulas. I focus on breaking ideas into simple steps so students understand the logic behind the material, not just how to memorize procedures.

Teaching Method and Techniques

I emphasize:

Conceptual understanding first (why something works)

Step-by-step problem solving

Practice with real examples

Active learning, where students explain their reasoning while we work through problems together

For subjects like economics and math, I often connect ideas to real-world situations so they feel intuitive rather than abstract. I can teach high school, college, and early grad school.
