How do u do bios tho! I am..a writer, educator, clairsentient chick? And adaptable, highly intuitive, playful & witty mercury-ruled. I find all parts of education & engaging new ideas so exciting. I'm passionate about ensuring a safe, supportive environment where flaws & failure are (actually?) totally okay, even encouraged. My students thrive and feel motivated empowered by my ability to see them, truly, & my patience in finding the best way information will be absorbed for *them* - I could count on *maybe* one hand the students who have not left me feeling more confident and successful, no matter the subject.
I'm highly collaborative (especially with an often very personal subject), flexible & prefer an open dialogue between you and I. If something isn't working for you, tell me. If there is a specific tool that is helping information just super click in, tell me! I am here for you & it is your success that brings me joy.
Ok, my whole career deal: I've been a writer (primarily creative: poetry/memoir) since I could spell and actor (mostly improv comedy) for over a decade. I have my B.A. in Theatre Arts and French, which found me following a career as a producer, resident performer, coach/director & teacher in nationally-recognized comedy theaters, as well as traveling artist performing & leading workshops from Boston to Toronto to Japan. This has involved building curriculum (both redesigning & developing from scratch) for one-day workshops, corporate trainings, university semester-long courses, specialized group workshops.
I've loved astrology since I learned the word; I find it fascinating - even the surface level. The daily horoscopes were never fully my thing, so I continued to dig deeper & deeper, learning about every type of sign, planets, retrogrades, the houses, etc. My mind kind of exploded with it all. I've been doing full charts for my friends for a few years, as well as pulling cards (tarot, goddess & animal) in all the formations. I am familiar with chakra and crystals, for healing, as well as alternative medicine/healing (herbs, cremes & topicals, body work techniques, essential oils, etc). These are all pieces of an entire picture that *can* bring comfort, but more than that, I believe are important to learn and try to understand - even if it's not your jam. And who knows, maybe pieces of it are.Ok

Patient. Accessible. I am able to very quickly assess my student's comfort level & general vibe when it comes to learning, which helps me be able to jump right into the fun stuff, but also adjust the way in which I teach. Why would I want to teach someone in a way that they don't learn? That seems mean & ineffective. I prefer kindness & growth. I use humor to relate and engage students. I'm patient (saying it twice, because it's an honest, very important trait). You are learning new things or adding new elements onto a familiar subject, failure is expected. The environment in which I teach respects the failure process, one of the biggest life lessons that improv teaches. Learning is failing, until you fail less, until you can explain it to someone new.
I meet my students where they are, while pushing them just past their comfort zone - being very mindful of where their limit is. Never aggressive or disappointed with student's not understanding or knowing facts (that's my job). I respect every student, small to big, as if they were human (wait, they are) & expect the same respect in return. Talking down to students derails their learning & causes you to shut down, unwilling to learn (and of course, because the teacher is there for you, to support your journey, to guide you each time you fall).

My base hourly rate is $75/hr & may differ depending on what you're looking for.
1. $75/hr for weekly astrology, crystal, alternative healing lessons
2. $100 flat rate for a full chart reading & explanation
3. $100 for 1hr card reading (of your choice)
