When I lived in Shanghai, I was a language volunteer. I helped about more than 10 non- Mandarin speaker each single year, even helped some of them pass HSK. My teaching method is very flexible, I mean it depends on the individuals or groups. The method could be very academic for the person who has the Mandarin test , or very funny and practical.
I prefer to introduce Chinese culture to help the learners understand well. What's important, I believe more practice, more progress. I encourage the learners speak more and read more, I am glad to speak with them after class.
Additionally, I am a Wu Chinese speaker as well.
