I have been a Maritime Officer on a coastal / inland vessel for 5 years. I will still be able to call this hair captain. I have been involved in maritime shipping since I was 16; I was a member of the sea cadets and then also sailed as an Ordinary Seaman on coastal vessels

My lesson comes from my experience as a mentor to the interns on my ship and as a volunteer with the naval cadets. I believe no one is too bad to be a sailor, and with a positive approach anyone can become one. I am still sailing, so lessons will occasionally be given from the ship or they will be scheduled on my leave.
