About Bernie
I am a 22-year-old 2025 graduate from the University of Southampton, where I completed a Master’s degree in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering. My academic background has given me a deep understanding of Maths and Physics, as well as the ability to apply these subjects to real-world problems. Throughout my studies, I developed not only strong technical knowledge but also the communication skills needed to explain complex ideas clearly and effectively. Having benefited from great teachers myself, I understand the impact that patient, engaging, and well-structured tutoring can have on a student’s confidence and performance. I want to help others experience that same feeling of progress and achievement. I particularly enjoy breaking down challenging topics and seeing the moment when a student finally understands something they’ve been struggling with. I take a structured yet flexible approach to teaching Maths and Physics, focusing on building a strong understanding of key concepts before moving on to more advanced material. Each lesson will be tailored to the student’s individual needs, whether that’s preparing for exams, improving confidence in class, or filling in gaps in understanding. I believe in setting clear goals to track progress and keep lessons focused and productive. I will use a mix of explanations, worked examples, and practice questions to reinforce learning and develop problem-solving skills. My lessons would typically last one hour, but I can offer 45-minute sessions if preferred, especially for younger students or those with shorter attention spans. I hold a Master’s degree in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Southampton, where I developed strong analytical and mathematical skills. This background gives me a deep understanding of both maths and physics and how they apply in real-world contexts. My lessons are aimed at secondary school students doing GCSEs or A-Levels. Whether you're aiming for top grades or simply looking to build confidence in the subject, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
