About Sy
I am passionate about the development and empowerment of young people. I believe in setting achievable standards that are high but attainable. I love working with young bright enthusiastic and respectful pupils who are hungry to learn. Pupils who are disrespectful will be politely declined all lessons with me. I only accept pupils from the age of 10 years and above. There will be an initial probationary period to assess pupil suitability for lessons I offer and if we can work together. I reserve the right to accept and not accept pupils for lessons with myself. This is in no way an indication of a pupil's aptitude, it is simply to ensure we have a productive learning experience together where I can help develop your learning and love of gaining knowledge. About the lesson

We will journey through different classics in the English literature selected by pupil and tutor. We will unpack the stories we read to delve deeper into culture, history and language these stories depict.
We will debate, discuss and analyse how these stories maybe relevant to our society now. This is the perfect opportunity to engage with literature in a way that is no longer practiced in schools in Scotland. By doing so, you will have a bigger appreciation of books, culture and the different tropes found in English literature that help develop your language, reading and writing skills.
Science lessons will be focussed on learning factual information necessary for practical application of science at school and university. Once again this is to help aid in better learning and discovery of a bigger spectrum of science theory for young pupils no longer taught in the Scottish curriculum. These lessons are text heavy and suitable for pupils who prefer learning through reading information.
