About Olya
Teaching has been a massive part of my life since I was a teenager. When I’m not online with my students, you’ll usually find me out in the garden. I’m a total gardening enthusiast, but I also love making the most of Melbourne’s great coffee scene, going for weekend hikes, traveling, and cooking a mean tiramisu!
Beyond tutoring, I am deeply involved in the local community as a Ukrainian event organizer. I have brainstormed and delivered multiple cultural events designed to bring the community closer together, dive deep into our shared traditions, and fundraise money to support Ukraine in the war. I am now based in Melbourne
When you or your child sit down for a lesson with me, you can expect an environment that is relaxed, friendly, and highly focused. I’m patient, direct, and genuinely excited to help you connect with the language and culture

About the lesson

I focus on making Ukrainian easy to understand, focusing heavily on pronunciation, phonetics, and reading. I use a structured but practical approach to get you reading and speaking confidently without getting bogged down in overwhelming grammar rules right away
Sessions are 50 minutes online. It’s the perfect amount of time to learn something new, practice speaking, and wrap up before your brain gets tired
I teach all ages and levels. My lessons are ideal for:
- kids
- adults with Ukrainian heritage who want to finally speak fluently
- beginners starting completely from scratch

I’m an experienced, bilingual language educator who understands exactly how to break down tricky sounds for English speakers
I’m also deeply connected to the community—I organized the Ukrainian Speaking club charity initiative, with 100% of the profits going directly to support Ukraine in the ongoing war.
