About Dalia
I am an experienced chess tutor with twenty years of teaching students from schools, colleges, and working professionals. Over the years, I have successfully taught 300-350 students, helping them improve their skills, confidence, and love for the game. My teaching philosophy is centered on building a strong foundation in chess fundamentals while encouraging creativity, critical thinking, and strategic planning.
I focus on openings, middle-game tactics, endgame strategies, and pattern recognition, tailoring lessons to each student’s level and goals. I also emphasize game analysis, helping students learn from their own games and develop problem-solving skills. My approach balances technique with practical application, using puzzles, practice games, and tournament simulations to build confidence and decision-making under pressure.
I strive to create a supportive and motivating learning environment, where students feel encouraged to explore new strategies and develop their unique style of play. Many of my students have achieved success in school and college tournaments, and several have progressed to competitive levels under my guidance.
Teaching chess is more than just learning moves—it’s about developing patience, focus, and strategic thinking. I aim to make every lesson engaging, inspiring, and rewarding. I welcome students of all levels to join me and discover the joy and excitement of chess while achieving their personal goals.

My chess teaching approach is designed to help students grow strategically, creatively, and confidently. I focus on building a strong foundation in the fundamentals of chess, including openings, middle-game tactics, endgame strategies, and positional understanding. I integrate pattern recognition, calculation exercises, and critical thinking to help students make informed and effective moves.
I also emphasize game analysis, teaching students how to review their own games and learn from both successes and mistakes. Practical application is key, so I include puzzle-solving, timed games, and simulation exercises to develop quick thinking and decision-making under pressure. I guide students in developing long-term planning skills, understanding opponent strategies, and managing risk effectively.
My tutoring style incorporates compassion, diplomacy, and motivation to create a supportive learning environment. I encourage curiosity and creativity, helping students explore unconventional strategies and think outside the box. Each lesson is personalized to the student’s skill level, goals, and learning pace, whether they are beginners, competitive players, or preparing for tournaments.
In addition to individual play, I support students in understanding team dynamics, tournament etiquette, and collaborative problem-solving. I make learning chess enjoyable and inspiring, balancing technical mastery with strategic imagination. My aim is to help students develop confidence, resilience, and a lifelong love for the game.
Through this approach, students not only improve their skills but also gain critical thinking, patience, and strategic insight that extends beyond the chessboard. Every lesson is a step toward mastery, creativity, and personal growth in the fascinating world of chess.
