About Iven
My teaching approach to Chess is based on making the game clear, engaging, and practical. I use real-life examples and case studies from famous matches to show how strategies work in real situations. I also include topics like decision-making, time management, and pattern recognition, which help students improve both in Chess and in other problem-solving activities. I believe in flexibility, adapting my lessons to each student’s level and goals, whether they are preparing for tournaments or just starting out. I encourage collaboration through game reviews and open discussions, while teaching with compassion so students feel supported and confident. This way, they not only learn the moves but also the mindset to play smarter and stronger.

I am a dedicated Chess tutor with 6 years of experience, teaching high school and college students. Over the years, I have successfully trained 150–200 students, helping them improve their skills in openings, middlegames, and endgames. My teaching philosophy is centered on patience, clarity, and strategy, ensuring each student understands the “why” behind every move. I believe Chess is not just a game but a way to develop critical thinking, focus, and problem-solving skills that benefit students beyond the board.
In my sessions, I use real-game examples, interactive analysis, and step-by-step guidance to make learning engaging and effective. I focus on building strong fundamentals, helping students plan ahead, and teaching them how to adapt to different opponents. Many of my students have achieved top ranks in school and college tournaments, and I take pride in seeing them grow in confidence. My goal is to inspire every student to think creatively, play strategically, and enjoy the game to its fullest.
