About Sophie
Hi, I’m Sophie. I hold a Master’s degree and have worked for over 10 years as a Chartered Accountant, specialising in accounting and tax. I’m also a native Mandarin speaker with 10 years of teaching experience. Why I teach: Teaching is more than a job for me—it’s a passion. I love helping others grow, whether it’s: • Unlocking the logic and beauty of mathematics, • Exploring the richness of Mandarin language and culture, or • Sharing real-world accounting and tax knowledge that textbooks don’t cover. I believe learning should be fun, effective, and practical. My lessons are interactive, tailored to your goals, and infused with skills you can use right away. Outside of work, I’m an active person who enjoys tennis, surfing, tango, swimming, and cooking. This energy and curiosity flow into my teaching—I make sure every lesson is engaging and motivating.
