About Shelley

Degrees: Master of Education. Bachelor of Teaching.
Certificates: Empowerment Specialist. NLP Life Coach. Studying Dip. of Counselling
I have been a primary teacher for over 20 years. I have worked with children (4-12 years) and adults (English as a second language). My strength area is English, I enjoyed this subject at school and enjoy it now, so much so that I became a writer. I have many published articles, mostly online and I have an article in print media. The topics I have written about include education, and wellbeing. I'd be the ideal person if you need a proofreader or editor for your writing work. Subjects I have taught: learning support (catering to individual learning needs), gifted education (guiding research projects), music and drama; this is where I can help with your speaking/presenting skills. Do you have a speech you need help with, or a job interview? With teacher guidance and coaching, and consistent practice, we'll make whatever you're presenting a success, and we'll have fun in the process! Recently, I have completed a life coaching course, and I have been coaching and empowering people by helping them set goals to achieve their dreams! Whether you're at school or an adult wanting to build confidence and improve your reading, writing, speaking skills, or goal-setting strategies, let's chat!

About the lesson

If you have a particular goal, project or dream, let me help you achieve it! Truth be told, I wasn't a great learner at school, especially when it came to the process of learning how to write. However, it didn't stop me from becoming a writer and publishing content in one of Australia's leading wellbeing magazines. Do you want to improve your reading, writing, or speaking skills? Or is it setting the right goals to achieve your dreams? Tell me what you want to work on - and let's make it happen for you! We'll create a program together, catering to and understanding your specific learning needs. I'll monitor and assess your progress along the way. You'll receive regular feedback, and positive reinforcement (encouragement) and, become motivated along the way! With my support and expertise, I'll help you achieve your goal!
