About Tavian
With over 4 years of experience as an English tutor and a Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics with a focus on English Literature, I bring both passion and expertise to every lesson. I’ve always been drawn to the beauty of language—especially through reading, storytelling, and creative writing. These are not just hobbies for me, but powerful tools for learning and self-expression. I love helping students explore exciting texts that spark their imagination and curiosity. My sessions focus on improving reading comprehension, essay writing, vocabulary, and literary analysis in a way that feels engaging and accessible. I design imaginative tasks that encourage deeper thinking and creative exploration. Whether it’s crafting a compelling story or unpacking a poem’s hidden meaning, I guide students every step of the way. I work with teens, college students, and aspiring writers who want to grow their confidence and skills in English. For learners working on fluency, I integrate phonetics, pronunciation, and spoken English practice into my sessions. I ensure that students feel confident while speaking or writing in English in both academic and professional settings. I’m especially experienced in supporting learners with a background in the language who wish to improve their academic or professional use of English. I help them strengthen their skills, deepen their understanding, and achieve their goals. My sessions are interactive and adjusted to each student’s learning style and needs. I also teach how to structure arguments, use evidence, and refine academic tone and style. With regular practice and personalized feedback, my students see steady progress and feel motivated to keep improving.
