About Aminah

Hola! I'm Aminah Ahmed, a college student living the Madrid life. I've immersed myself in Spanish for the past year and I'm this close to being fluent. Teaching and tutoring English has been a rewarding gig, especially with kids. As a nursing major, my passion for helping others extends beyond the classroom. Additionally, some of my hobbies are working out, reading and traveling.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is student-centered, focusing on individual needs and goals. In a typical lesson plan, I begin by assessing the student's proficiency level and identifying areas that require improvement. I emphasize a balanced curriculum, covering grammar, vocabulary, speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.

What sets me apart as a tutor is my unique background as a nursing student who studied abroad in Spain. This experience has given me a deep understanding of both Spanish and English language learners. I bring cultural sensitivity and firsthand knowledge of the challenges Spanish speakers face when learning English. Additionally, teaching English in Spanish helps improve my spanish, which is just an extra perk for myself!
