About Ivy
With 38+ years of teaching experience and more than 19120 students successfully mentored, I have dedicated my professional journey to helping musicians transform passion into artistic achievement. My experience spans beginner instruction, advanced musical training, and performance mentoring across diverse musical traditions.
Many former students have excelled in live performances, competitions, recordings, and collaborative musical projects while developing rewarding creative careers. Their accomplishments continue to inspire my commitment to music education and mentorship.

Guitar is taught through a practical and artistically rich methodology that blends technical mastery with musical creativity. Lessons comprehensively cover chords, scales, rhythm techniques, fingerstyle playing, improvisation, ear training, and music theory while adapting to learners from beginner to advanced levels. Every lesson is designed to strengthen confidence, coordination, and expressive ability while making learning enjoyable and meaningful.
Students actively participate in song analysis, performance preparation, assignments, rhythm exercises, and musical interpretation activities that develop strong technical foundations and artistic identity. Real-world performance techniques help learners explore different genres while refining their individual style.
Advanced instruction explores advanced soloing, improvisation, composition, harmony, and stage performance skills. Learners acquire professional musicianship that supports examinations, recordings, concerts, competitions, and lifelong artistic growth.
