About Jovie

My teaching approach focuses on building a strong foundation in guitar technique while encouraging creativity and personal expression. I guide students through essential skills like fingerstyle playing and classical technique, helping them develop precision and musicality. Alongside technique, I introduce basics of music production, such as loop layering and beat-making, to expand their creative possibilities. Improvisation is a key part of my lessons — I help students find a natural flow and build confidence to play freely. We also work on stage-style playing, preparing students to perform with energy and presence. I believe every student learns differently, so I tailor lessons to fit individual goals and learning speeds. Whether you want to master intricate fingerpicking or explore composing with loops, I support your growth step-by-step. My method mixes clear explanations, practical exercises, and real music examples to keep lessons engaging and rewarding. I encourage patience and regular practice while celebrating small achievements along the way. Together, we build skills that last and inspire a lifelong love for guitar.

About the lesson

I’m a passionate guitar tutor with 2 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Guitar. I love working with children, teens, and neurodivergent learners, tailoring lessons to fit each student’s unique style and needs. My approach blends structured creativity with repetition and variation, helping build strong skills while keeping lessons fun and engaging.

I use interactive tools and games to make learning lively and enjoyable. Music, to me, is more than just notes—it’s a powerful way to build confidence and express yourself. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to sharpen your skills, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.

Together, we’ll explore songs, improvisation, and techniques that excite you. I believe that learning should feel rewarding and never rushed. Everyone learns at their own pace, and that’s exactly how we’ll work. You’ll gain fluency and joy in your playing, all while feeling supported and inspired.
