About Hazel
My teaching methodology is centered on collaboration, empathy, and open-mindedness, which helps me create a supportive, encouraging, and highly engaging learning environment. I believe that every student is unique, with their own learning style, goals, and pace, and I strive to make every lesson feel personal and motivating. By establishing a strong rapport with students, I ensure they feel confident asking questions, exploring new ideas, and experimenting with their musical creativity without fear of judgment. I design lessons that are carefully tailored to each student’s individual objectives, combining practical guitar techniques with a solid understanding of music theory. From mastering chords, scales, and finger techniques to understanding rhythm, harmony, and improvisation, I aim to provide a well-rounded musical foundation. By integrating exercises, real-life examples, and performance practice, students not only develop technical skills but also learn how to apply their knowledge creatively in real musical situations, whether performing, composing, or improvising. Through interactive and dynamic sessions, I focus on nurturing creativity, self-expression, and confidence in every student. Lessons are structured to be fun, meaningful, and rewarding, allowing students to progress at their own pace while exploring related musical topics such as songwriting, composition, and improvisation. My ultimate goal is to empower students to discover their full potential, become versatile musicians, and enjoy the journey of learning the guitar as a lifelong skill and passion.

I am a passionate and dedicated Guitar tutor with over 9 years of experience, committed to inspiring and guiding students at both high school and college levels. Throughout my teaching journey, I have had the privilege of mentoring 300–350 students, helping them develop a strong foundation in guitar techniques, improvisation, and music theory. My approach emphasizes not only skill-building but also fostering a genuine love for music, encouraging students to explore their unique style and express themselves creatively through the guitar.
Over the years, I have celebrated many milestones with my students, including helping them perform in bands, participate in music competitions, and compose their own original pieces. I take pride in tailoring lessons to suit each student’s individual goals and learning style, ensuring that every session is engaging, interactive, and rewarding. By combining practical exercises with real-world applications, I help students gain confidence in their abilities while nurturing a deep understanding of music theory and performance.
I strongly believe that learning music should be a fun, personalized, and transformative experience. My lessons focus on building creativity, discipline, and self-expression, empowering students to reach their full potential.
